The Party Room, 25-60 people (43-45 seated at tables, 65 auditorium style).

Entire Venue, 70-99 people (approx. 3000 sq ft).

Great for Lectures, Corporate meetings, Performances, Book Launches, Weddings, Birthdays, Graduations, Engagement parties, Showers, Birthdays, Corporate Events, Fund-Raisers and more life events! (We can provide a screen, projector microphones and other audio-visual capabilities.)

The Reading Room, 13 - 20 people (12 seated at tables, 23 auditorium style) Ideal for Presentations, book launches, book signings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, larger book clubs or company meetings. (For parties of up to 26 an additional table may be reserved outside the room in the bar area)

Table or Space Reservations must be made for 5 or more people.

Hey guys! Although we are so very fortunate that you love us so much!; we kindly ask you to refrain from posting a social media party invitation for all your closest friends & relatives to come party at the Nest, without making a reservation in advance! We really want your kibbitznest experience to be awesome; so we want to be prepared to accommodate you. In addition, there are spending minimums, a service charge for the staff, and the City of Chicago legal maximum occupancy to consider plus we have limited space for large parties.

That being said, please make a table or space reservation if you have 5 or more people in your party. We cannot accommodate large parties without a reservation.

So, to reserve space for a simple friend or family get together, to hold a book club, a large group party such as a birthday party, engagement party or going away party or any other group activity such as a board meeting, a business meeting, to do an art project, and any other activity that is normally done in such places as someone's home, office, coffee shop, restaurant, a public building or school, please email store@kibbitznest.com for the availability and cost to do so. We will not be able to accommodate your group walk-in without a reservation.

General Provisions for all reservations:

  • If there is anyone under 21, we must know in advance

  • There will be a refundable deposit due to confirm the reservation

  • There is a minimum spending per person OR a rental rate for the Party Room or the Reading Room where ALL purchases are deducted from, not in addition to (in most instances).

  • When requesting a reservation please include the specific date or the day of the week, the time of day and the number of people; this information will determine the spending minimums and rental fees.

  • Please respond in a timely fashion to confirm your reservation as requests are taken throughout the day.

  • For table reservations only: Please know within 1-3 people (depending on total number) how many people will be in your party. For example, if you think 10-15 might come, the reservation cannot be confirmed until you narrow it down to 9-10 or 12-15 or 12-14.
